A mysterious man dubbed the “Motor City Mooner” is reportedly on the loose, targeting Flock cameras across Metro Detroit by stopping in front of them and mooning the devices before driving away.
Authorities say the suspect has managed to make himself surprisingly difficult to identify because every photograph captured by the cameras is of his rear end.
Investigators have reportedly named Dean Gilberry as a person of interest, though Gilberry strongly denies being the Mooner.
“It isn’t me,” Gilberry said. “The guy in those pictures doesn’t even have the mole on his rear end that I have.”
Investigators reportedly found the statement suspicious.
“We never mentioned a mole,” one investigator said. “He brought that up completely on his own.”
Gilberry insists the mole is actually what will clear his name, saying investigators simply need to “zoom in.”
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing, although reviewing hundreds of photographs of the suspect’s bare backside has reportedly become “one of the stranger assignments in department history.”
