Some guys are just relentlessly anti-Michigan (Finebaum, Mandel, etc.) Somehow this is just considered “cute” in the world of sports commentary. Urban Meyer won’t even say “Michigan.” I know it’s sports commentary, not nuclear physics or world politics. But it seems like there used to be an expectation of a certain level of professional detachment in national-level CFB commentary.
