Is food served family-style in your household, or does the cook plate the food?

Spouse and I both grew up with family-style, and have always done it that way, but apparently it’s not as universal as I imagined.

Mostly plated individually growing up. With my friends at dinner parties now, mostly family style.*

Since The Bear came out, we have different roles for different ppl, we call each other "chef", and the plater plates (nm)
