Thiam looked like a monster when he was out there. Costello, Hartman and (surprise) Moller all like like they are potential rotation players, which is an awfully good place to start for freshmen in August. All that was above expectation for me,

McCoy -- as expected: some amazing plays and some terrible ones. He needs to find a place in the offense where he's not pounding the rock, and with Cadeau and McKenney as the main forces (they were in foul trouble all day today) I think that should be doable.

The general flow of the offense looked very advanced for this point in the season. Only when we got down to 4 freshmen in the lineup did it get choppy. So the general coaching looks, so far, to have kept pace with the May era. That is a big positive sign to me.
