I had been using a propane tank on the grill all summer, and decided to switch it out rather than risk having it run dry during my daughter's birthday party. I asked the guy switching it out if there was some way to check how low it was before switching to a new tank.

Him: It will be lighter than it was when you got it.

Me: How much lighter?

Him: I don't know, just lighter.
