I don't know how he can stay at Atleti at this stage but if he digs in his heels as deeply as Gil Marin has done, then there could be an impasse where everyone ends up worse off.

Also, from Barca's perspective, they really do need a striker because they are planning on not being able to buy next summer. They are going to have to move back to Montjuic at some point when the roof is put on the Nou Camp and their revenue is going to dip. The thinking was that their spending this summer is for two seasons.
