Went with the Samsung S90F, which is the "mid-range" option, but still blew me away. Was tempted to go with just whatever for like $400, but my wife mentioned "we may as well get something nice" and I was sold. Adjusting for inflation, it's not much more than what I paid for my Vizio 17 years ago, and it's way bigger and better.

I took the old one to the dump. I was trying to get it into this cart on top of another old TV, and trying to do it gingerly so as not to break it. To which one of the workers said, "Brother, we aren't saving that. Just chuck it in."

Which, fair point.
