The Victors

1. The fact that nobody—and I mean nobody—outside the UM media ecosystem is predicting UM to be particularly relevant this season, nationally. This is something we make fun of MSU fans for routinely: believing they are stacked going into the season, and everyone who doesn’t see it are just haters.

2. The fact that, with a brand new coaching staff, we have no idea how to interpret the pre-season coachspeak, beyond just taking it at face value. Sure, maybe they are super transparent and what you hear is what you get. But we all know that would make them quite a rare coaching staff if true.

Caveats apply—I’m not saying we will suck. Like I said, I’m feeling pretty bullish. Just listing a couple counter arguments.
