The Victors

I’m not working around a bunch of kid activities or anything anymore on Saturdays—most of my fall Saturdays are pretty-much devoted to watching CFB.

I’m an early riser—I usually grade papers and do laundry on Saturday morning. If I can then settle into the UM game at 11:00 am, that’s perfect. If Michigan wins, I can really enjoy watching other games the rest of the day. (If we lose, I’m much less likely to watch other games.)

Night games are fine for me, since I’m not going in person, and they’re not so crazy late in Central time.

The 3:30 slot (2:30 for me) is my least favorite. It sits right in the middle of the day, when any conflict I might have is most likely to be.

When I lived on the west coast years ago, I loved the early games. Watch the UM game at 9:00, be done at noon (because CFB games were “only” 3 hours long then), then have the whole rest of the day for outdoor activities or whatever. Yes, please.
