The Victors

I was recently at a local bar association mixer, conversing with another local attorney about his practice. He claimed to primarily handle criminal defense matters, but added that on a part-time basis he also engaged in some quasi-illegal borderline criminal activities of his own. Obviously, as an officer of the court, I could not let that go unchallenged. I noted that, in my understanding, a halfway crook is a fanciful creation, no more real than a unicorn, leprechaun or reasonable Buckeye.

I hoped that my response would end the matter, but unfortunately it did not. Instead, this trick-ass ho continued to step to me. Worse yet, he persisted in disrespecting my crew. Obviously this is untenable. My question, for those with prior experience in such matters is this: Do I need to ride on this fool? I’d be open to a less violent option, but I’m not sure one exists. TIA for any advice from those who may have dealt with a similar situation.
