I have predicted all along Sayed would probably win unless outstate results carried Stevens....

and I always thought turnout for Sayed would be stronger everywhere than for Stevens.

Sayed voters just had more enthusiasm and that is who votes in primaries. I know the yard sign vote can be misleading (with Trump there is a lot of polarization as you go community by community for example), but it often is not. In recent months, whether I am in an upscale neighborhood, a working class neighborhood or on vacation, I saw a few Sayed signs. Not a ton but every street seems to have a couple. In all these last few months, I have NEVER seen a single Stevens yard sign. None. There was zero enthusiasm for her. I even saw a couple McMorrow signs but none for Stevens.

The typical 10 percent who turn out for primaries went Stevens but all of the 'extra' voters were for Sayed. As I have said, the Dems ran the wrong horse. Whitmer, Benson or Buttigieg win easily.
