Penelope's is very good. Light whiskeys have a different flavor profile that I have grown to like as a change of pace. While higher distillation proof, not being aged in new charred barrels, fhey need the extra time to get their flavor. I have had light whiskeys from High West (14 year) and MGP (18 year) juice....both very good. Some are even deviating away from 99% corn to include other grains, which I think allows them to age it a little less.
Evernorth has some great barrel picks of light whiskeys if you ever see them. I just bought a Green River 150 proof two days ago.
