Everyone just sort of assumes that that’s the real reason they moved to Michigan…so that he might be able to win an elected office.
He seems to have his eye on President in ‘28, but I think that would be a strategic error on his part. Dem voters are not going to nominate a gay candidate against (presumably) Vance. They’re going to want a straight white Christian man who looks good in the Johnny Bravo suit.
He’s only 44: even if he had to wait until ‘36, he’d only be 54, which is still young-ish for a presidential run. Let someone else be the first post-Trump normal president and navigate that whole shit-show.
