Dortmund tried all summer to buy El Mala but Koln was looking for an unrealistic number. However, they pulled off an excellent couple of moves in August in signing Konstantelias and Veerman for the 50 million euros that Kohn wanted for El Mala, though admittedly El Mala was fantastic for Koln in their win over the weekend.

Konstantelias looked fantastic in a late sub in the supercup showing great speed and ball control. He started against Hamburg this weekend and was one of the top players on the field, scoring the second goal and just constantly harassing Hamburg with runs into the box. Of course, late in the second half he tears his ACL. Now he is out for likely the rest of the first half of the season, and now they likely need to prioritize another wing when they were trying to close during these last few hours of the transfer window with a fullback to replace Couto, who they sold off to Italy. With few options available late in the window, it looks like they will have find some sort of way to sign Sancho, who is still sort of limbo. Injuries in sports just suck.
