After my way too long but ultimately successful campaign on LinkedIn to get John Harbaugh, the current coach of the New York Football Giants, fired from his role as Choker in Chief of the Baltimore Ravens. Single handling wasting a generation of talent and somehow not managing to win a Super Bowl (or even get there) with the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson in 2019, 2023 or 2024, it is officially time for a new campaign.

Which brings us to Mike Elias, the General Manager of the Baltimore Orioles. Speaking of wasting talent. Terrible player development. Countless fielding errors. Underperforming draft picks. Drafts picks who perform then regress. Never ending injuries to young players. Absurd one year or short term "safe" short-term deals with utter garbage retread veterans like Charlie Morton and Tyler O'Neil. Five playoff losses in two years, four at home (I've suffered through each one at Camden Yards), with no wins (10 playoff losses in a row, but only 5 under Elias's watch).

And now the team sold off at the trade deadline when we are only 2.5 games back from the wildcard for yet another rebuild? The moves in isolation make sense, but we just did a rebuild, where are the fruits of that before the next rebuild? Bye Adley, between your regression and injuries, I feel like we wasted the opening act of your career.

The goal of a baseball team is to win the World Series. Anything less is losing. Elias doesn't play to win, he plays not to lose.

Baltimore deserves better.

Elias is the overly fried, sauced up, full of filler, stringy fishy crab meat flattened equivalent of a crab cake. Get that crab patty out of here.
