Most sequels to such original classics tend to be underwhelming, but I thought Doctor Sleep was razor sharp, the villain is a real villain, doing awful stuff, so it didn't feel light weight. Creative ways to get references to the original too. Overall, thought it was a solid sequel. Trivia note: in the opening baseball scene, the actor who played the kid Danny Torrence was in the stands in the background and had one random close-up shot.
