GORDON RAMSAY'S KITCHEN NIGHTMARES: THE VICTORS BOARD EDITION
Thread One: MasterBates' "Grilled" Fajitas
MasterBates posts a photo of what he claims is grilled beef skirt, mumbles something about his wife complaining it's overdone, and โ listen to me โ he's not even in the mood to defend himself. That's how you know it's bad.
Nikos takes one look and just goes, "Grilled?" โ that's it, one word, and it's devastating. Then suede drops the knife in deeper: "Might be a Mexican word for boiled?" BOILED?! You've taken a beautiful piece of skirt steak and turned it into something you'd serve at a hospital cafeteria! cp comes in cold โ "too much fat, I'd send it back" โ and even MasterBates' own defense is him admitting he "used to trim it off" and now just does "a little." A LITTLE ISN'T ENOUGH, DARLING!
The one bright spot โ someone actually brings up the Maillard reaction, which, fine, at least somebody on this board has opened a cookbook once in his life.
Verdict: RAW PANIC ON A PLATE. Skirt steak deserves better than this. It deserves respect, high heat, and a rest โ not whatever fever dream MasterBates put his family through.
Thread Two: Alpo's Midnight "Steak"
This one's worse. Posted at 12:44 AM โ because apparently good decisions stop happening after midnight in this house โ Alpo drops a photo that immediately gets compared to boiled meat AGAIN. Twice in one board! Is nobody grilling anything anymore?!
Excitable Boyee calls it: "Boiling a steak is certainly a choice." tem, bless him, actually diagnoses the crime โ sounds like a sous vide gone catastrophically wrong, no bag, just meat floating around like it's taking a bath. xcheck compares it to the fictional "milk steak" from Always Sunny in Philadelphia โ missing its jelly beans โ which, brutal, but accurate. Bluebuck asks the real question: what did you DO to that steak, and why are you cooking at midnight?
And Rabbit โ RABBIT โ brings up sloppy steaks from some place called Traffani's, which tells me this entire community has a documented history of disrespecting beef.
Verdict: IT'S RAW. IT'S BOILED. IT'S CONFUSED. This isn't a steak, it's a cry for help served on a plate at one in the morning. Somebody get this man a cast iron pan and an intervention.
Chef's overall note: Two threads, two steaks, zero people who know what "sear" means. This board needs a grill, a thermometer, and possibly therapy.
