But the push is relentless and I am extremely glad I am close enough to retirement that by the time I am taken out back to be shot (guessing in 1.5-3 years), I will be happy to have been done so (with severance, thank you very much).

Feel way more worried for my early career daughter and just emphasize to her daily that she better invest in work that depends on relationships more than anything else. I especially worry as she is a part of the cohort that is massively anti-AI, but it is coming for her whether she likes it or not...
