Recommendations for things to do in nyc (m)

A few months back someone (on the old board) posted about a geology/archaeology museum they really enjoyed. I want to say it was on the west side. I tried playing around on Google Maps and Wikipedia but I couldn’t find anything resembling it. By chance do any of the nyc people on here or whoever posted about it remember by chance? Also, any other favorite spots in the UWS or turtle bay?
