Three paralyzed military veterans traveled from rural Pennsylvania in wheelchairs for a long-awaited meeting about legislation to improve their care. Fetterman canceled, claiming he may have eaten something bad.
Less than an hour later, he reportedly walked into his office showing no signs of illness for an appointment he told staff he “didn’t want to miss”: a Fox News interview about Israel and the war in Iran.
Pennsylvania state Rep. Liz Hanbidge also traveled to Washington for an agreed-upon meeting about programs helping homeless and working-class residents. Fetterman refused to see her and made his staff meet with her instead.
That same day, however, he met with former basketball coach and Israel advocate Bruce Pearl, who thanked him for his stance on Israel.
He has also reportedly dismissed hospital officials concerned about vaccines and Medicaid cuts and called attending a three-hour funeral for fallen officers a “nonstarter.”
Pennsylvanians deserve a senator who actually wants to represent them.
We’re all sick of hearing Fetterman shill for Israel on Fox News while treating veterans, constituents and fellow Pennsylvania lawmakers like inconveniences.
