I bet people on probation consider the results potentially life altering

And that many people would consider the technique helpful in vetting out spies. Or people facing prosecution. The results are not admissible, but polygraphs are without any reasonable dispute helpful tools.

Although not admissible in any court as evidence, if a prosecutor is on the fence about whether to bring charges, it can tip the scales in one’s favor.
