Buchanan looked the part. Seems like Michigan always plays against teams with these jump ball guys and we never have one of our own, nice to have a good one. We had Nico Collins but didn't take advantage of it enough.

Defense was mostly pretty stout, 13 minute drive notwithstanding. Feels like they were gassed from having to play so long + WMU is a glorified triple option team. Doesn't fully excuse that drive but somewhat explains it.

Like it or not, controversy or not, WMU or not, winning on a hail mary is still pretty cool. Exciting play that will be talked about forever. As a lifelong Lions fan I can promise you it is ALWAYS better to be on this side of a crazy ending/ref screwjob. Righteous anger does not feel as good as 1-0, no matter what. Might end up being the highlight of the season if they don't figure out what went wrong and quickly, but it is what it is.
