So the clock operator in the booth keeps the official time for an NCAA game, right? Not the scoreboard, not the clock on the TV, not an on-field official...

likely they are all synched to the official time at various times during the game, but I assume the clock operator's time was the one that said there was a second remaining in the game last night after the first Hail Mary.

    - My personal opinion is the official clock should be the one the coaches and players can see, and that seems like what they used. Just somehow the refs and NBC synced differently. It shouldn't be hard but apparently it was for one of them* - By LewisBullox September 6, 2026 at 05:49:26 PM
