Bit of chicken and egg here. Michigan was not trying to pave ppl in 2019, having moved to speed in space. That was their focus. After Wisconsin, Harbaugh augmented the offense

We still did speed in space but he recommitted to a strong run game. Everything was great until the OSU game and we couldn't stop them.

2021 was a more well rehearsed mixture of power running plus some speed/space components.
