Buchanan is open at roughly the 33 yard line. As the play beings, the field safety backpedals into the 40-41 yard range.

Buchanan's route carries him past the 35 and into the middle of the field. Both safeties converge on him at the 37 yard line (indicating the safeties were on or behind the 40 yard line).

    - Yes, I know that's a sit route but Jake contradicts himself with the 2nd image. "Sit" does not mean "come to a complete stop" like a car at a red "STOP" sign.   - This play didn’t develop correctly because of Goodwin. It’s a timing pattern that JJ to sit down before he can be targeted. Goodwin has to clear across before there is a throwing lane.
