The B10 unfortunately didn't show us the whole sequence (how the clock started) but that's really the only plausible explanation for the discrepancy.

For example, if the NBC production team took the stadium clock feed and just arbitrarily chose a starting frame that showed 0:09, that frame could have corresponded to 8.3 seconds in real time rather than the full 9.
