The U.S. only attempted 12 3-pointers, making just 1. That wasn't the problem.

I watched the game. The problem was the U.S. had a ton of layups that rolled around and rolled out. Amazing bad luck on those. They were good shots that, for whatever reason, just wouldn't stay down. I've seen that happen to a ton of teams, including Michigan.
