One thing that I've noticed is that as I get older, I still love the games but I appreciate the experience of going to games, days in Ann Arbor and seeing friends and family....
From the time I started following Michigan in elementary school into the Carr years, I lived on every play and got very up or down on the basis of the season. Maybe that faded earlier in Carr, mostly because kid activities are the focus.
But either way, the RR/Hoke years forced one to reexamine why do I go to games, do I enjoy it anymore, etc. That time coincided with my kids hitting HS and college and being around less so now I actually had MORE time to go to Ann Arbor again but the product was not so great. But I found I could have fun going to the game, meeting people before and after and just enjoying the atmosphere in Ann Arbor.
This newfound appreciation made the Harbaugh years ultra special because it pulled me back into my Bo/Mo level of every play passion but I still had this appreciation for the gameday experience.
I am hoping for Harbaugh level success this year and certainly Saturday started with that expectation, but either way I wanted to say that it's always great to be in AA. What a gorgeous night weather wise and tremendous atmosphere, as pictured here. At least for a while.
I guess if the team stinks I can sell my tickets and hang out around town.

- So we bolted early and weren’t even that mad on the way out. “It’s all about the tailgate” we said. And for me that was mostly true. Rich next time you have to swing by the tailgate earlier! Find out we won was great but didn’t change much*
