For one thing, to me the difference between 8-4 and 7-5 barely registers. Those two seasons are almost equally meh.

Also, it means losses to OU, IU, OU, and OSU: so our best wins are Iowa and Penn State. That’s a bad season. We might be that bad or worse, but I’m not locking it in. I’d let the season play out rather than take such a meh offer after seeing only one game. NOw, if we look as bad this week as we did against WMU (which would obviously mean a loss), then maybe I’d reconsider.
