…were known for defense, generally, or for hard physical, hard-nosed football. Ùtah was pretty-much the most physical team in all three of those conferences, and that gave them something of an edge, just as Harbaugh coming into the B1G with fullbacks and multiple TEs at a time when that wasn’t what most defenses were mostly built to stop offered an edge.
But it’s hard to out-physical B1G teams. Hell, it’s apparently hard to out-physical Western Michigan.
This is not at the top of list of things bothering me about UM FB right now, but it’s a thought.
