Brighton was previously at about 45-48 milll. but his mom vetoed it wanting him to stay in Germany and has been trying to engineer a deal where he and his brother are both at the same club for the past two years. She nearly had an agreement with BVB two years ago for both brothers, but Viktoria Köln couldn't reach an agreement as they wanted 1.5 million or so for the 15 year old. Nagelsmann has taken a lot of grief post-World Cup for not bringing some of the young emerging stars like El Mala to the World Cup, where Musiala and Wirtz weren't in good form and El Mala's speed and finish would have come in handy. While it is sad to see the bigger clubs poach the talent off the smaller clubs, Köln could probably use the money to try to stay out of the relegation zone this year.
