I noticed that Marsh in particular looked like he was kind of indifferent about being out there on Saturday. I am at least a little worried that the new world of big NIL money is having some weird effects in terms of incentives.
My brother read a book about the NBA in the 1980s, focused on Jack Mckloskey's GM role with the Pistons, and how he put those championship teams together. It sounds like an interesting book, and one thing he mentions is that the 1980s were the first decade of the really huge guaranteed money contracts for lots of players, and one consequence was that some players became very conscious about protecting themselves from injury, because they were looking to sign that big money deal.
Anyway the OU game is a lot more interesting now than it was 48 hours ago.
