For our honeymoon, we did a (loosely) Nile River themed trip, starting at the source of the White Nile and eventually making our way to Egypt, where we saw all the hits.
On this trip, in addition to Hattusa and Çatalhöyük, I'm going to visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara, among other nerdy ancient history things.
My dream is to visit Iraq (Assyrians, Babylonians, Sumerians, Akkadians, etc.) and Iran (Achaemenids) but that ain't presently happening while I have young kids. I had to beg and cajole to get my ex to sign off on me going to volunteer in Ukraine last year, and Iraq is (reasonably) a hard "no" with Iran not currently even a possibility.
In any case, I'm fuckin' pumped!
