First we still have no idea whether we're getting young for his age and still full of fire Whitt or soft landing I'm already thinking about retirement Whitt or something inbetween. That's a pretty big question in terms of what the next three to five seasons are going to be like.

Second, man I don't think I've ever seen the board do such a 180 on a player as Bryce. Yes he was terrible on Saturday, but he had a bunch of games last season where he looked every bit as much of a coming star as advertised. If he's actually cooked for whatever reason we can write off this season and possibly next as well.

Third the season has started out with a truly ridiculous fake story that if nothing else is super annoying. A win would go a long way toward lowering the annoyance level.

Fourth that game Saturday featured the biggest gap ever in terms of reasonable expectations versus actual performance. At least we just looked sloppy against Appy State rather than totally inept.

Basically, it's a game that will determine whether Saturday was flukish bad performance, or a reasonable representation of the actual state of the team. If it's the latter, a winning season will be a challenge. If it's the former, preseason hopes are back on the table.
