the circuit has been described as a cross between Jeddah and Macau and a real test of the driver and chassis. Recently in two day F3 testing at the Madring, there were 19 red flags. Now, F1 drivers are better than F3 drivers, but the circuit was said to be extremely hard on the cars regardless of the driver given some tight corners and other tough layouts. Pundits are already predicting there to be the most red flags during practice, qualifiers and the Grand Prix than any other race this year. Might be a weekend to look for the more experienced drivers like Max, Lewis and Alonso to do well regardless of which car is faster as keeping the car under control may prove to be more important than raw power or superior aero.
