1. First, you have to believe that the Big Ten would want to bail out Michigan. The same conference that broke its own rules multiple times to punish Michigan in ‘23.
2. You’d have to believe that the relatively evenly-called game up until that point, with questionable calls going both ways, was some sort of elaborate cover up.
3. You’d have to believe that the video feed that the referees reviewed, that clearly showed a second remaining, was somehow doctored on the spot.
And so on. Even if you think the call was wrong, the conspiracy explanation is incredibly stupid.

At this point, sticking with the conspiracy narrative means somehow the B10 also supplied random fans with multiple cellphone videos from different angles that clearly show in a single continuous shot the stadium clock reading 0:01 throughout the defensive player's contact with the ball.*
