From someone who has to consume information from coaches and then write articles about it, this staff is nothing like Harbaugh. The constant misdirection, lying or being evasive, pushback, etc that came from Harbaugh was annoying to say the least. This staff has been incredibly candid and isn't playing games with info. They've set clear lines when it comes to what happens at practice and such, but they aren't being coy about the roster, strengths, opportunties, etc.

In terms of competence, I tie that back more to the candidness. This staff clearly knows what they have and don't, so it makes it easier to buy hype and share concern when they share it. Each coach has their own personality and type of professionalism. Micah Simon is young, Jerome Gilford is a very cool dude, so they remind me of some of the younger and cool coaches we had under Harbaugh and Moore.

I just sense calm. I prefer this staff to Harbaugh years, again, for what I do.

Something I've noticed with this staff is they do not project out with the depth chart, if you were gone in the spring, you have work your way up. What I will say is I've been told the offense for Bryce will be 1st and 2nd reads, largely at levels with a check down, and he has an internal clock before he runs.
