Ages 25-29 seasons: 707 games, .259/.337/.428, OPS .764, OPS+ 111.

30-34 seasons: 670 games, .317/.403/.519, OPS .922, OPS+ 139.

That’s a little different than Gwynn because 30-32 is considered part of the 28-32 “batters’ peak”, but that jump exceeds a normal peak jump. He’s also not getting any of that performance increase from Mile High or Coors Stadium.

Do people think Paul O’Neil took PEDs? Or did expansion lead to a crazy dilution of pitching talent?
