My perspective and views have changed over the years since 9/11, and I read it differently than I did 25 years ago, but the line "the real heroes are dead" has always stuck with me. I've wondered how many other people through the centuries have acted heroically and sacrificially in service to their friends, families, and comrades in arms, and no one ever knew. What were their last thoughts?
