Donald Trump stood on a stage and asked a stadium full of people to raise their right hands.
Not for the flag.
Not for the country.
FOR HIM.
"I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States," he had them repeat, "that loves us so much he can't even breathe."
A grown man asked a crowd to swear allegiance to his own ego,
out loud, in unison.
Mid-pledge, he had them promise this:
"I don't care if I'm registered or not, I'm going to try and cheat like hell like they do."
The president of the United States
led a public oath
in which the crowd promised to cheat.
