For guys, anyway. I can see where women, who have been historically expected to wear tight and/or skinny jeans would say that.

I’d say jeans are a little heavy for summer, but I try to avoid wearing a long pant in summer as much as possible, anyway.

Weekends in the winter, I mostly wear a jean. I don’t find them any less comfortable than chinos, etc. And they’re more durable and can be worn more between washings.
