the narrative that the clock ran out and Michigan unfairly got one more play started the minute JJ Buchanen caught the miracle Hail Mary. Rather than a narrative about JJ and his amazing catch, the narrative became the officials putting one second back on the clock. No matter what evidence comes out that there really was a second left according to the officials, who acted properly based on clear video of their review, those in the media looking for clicks are just going to pile on the anti-Michigan narrative, which has been strange from the start. The narrative is that Michigan did something wrong, even though they had no input or control of what the officials did.

What is funny is that OSU presented proof a few years ago that Michigan and OSU aren't protected by the officials but get an in ordinate number of holdings of their DEs and DTs not called by a very significant margin (same with PSU), but the perception of all of the other BIG schools is that officials protected M and OSU because they are the big and wealthy schools in the conference.
