When you consider that…

1. BRyce looked really shaky for whatever reason in the opener.

2. The next two opponents with a pulse are Oklahoma and Iowa.

It’s not too crazy to think that they go into that three-game stretch (OU, [UTEP], Iowa) looking to play conservative, don’t-beat-yourself offense and rely on your defense, even if that’s not the perpetual game plan for the season.

That’s what I hope the narrative for the early season ends up being.
