but it's noticeable when accelerating. From the quick search I did, the cf you're considering is 2 lbs lighter than the al you've got. That'll definitely be noticeable.

As it happens, my bike--a Specialized Diverge--had to be upgraded to Shimano 105 because the original derailleur needed replacing and they no longer made whatever it came with, and I LOVE the 105. Super crisp shifting every single time.
