It should be a pretty good room. My fear is that what Beck wants from the TE is more of a blocker first, so Hoffman is closest to the Bredeson/Honigford style TE we had under JH. I guess the ideal hybrid blocking and receiving TEs were guys like All, Schoonmaker, Barner and to a lesser degree Loveland who was a better receiver than blocker. (How would Beck use Loveland? Would it be like Marshall?)

  - I see Tonielli and Hansen as receiver-first TEs. Hoffman and Marshall were more blocky last year - By jon September 15, 2026 at 08:59:08 AM
