It is currently reindeer season in Iceland. Typically you will have 2 - 3 people go together with one of them being the hunter and the others coming along to carry the meat back (often you will have to hike a considerable distance to track the animals, and will then butcher it on site and carry the meat back to your vehicle). Once you get close to the herd, the porters will hang back a bit and the hunter will get into position to shoot the animal. Anyway, the story is that this guy was one of the porters, and having been tracking the herd for about six hours they were getting into position. The herd got spooked and ran over to were he was sitting so he threw himself down by a boulder and waited for them to leave for about twenty minutes. It is quite unusual, as the reindeer have an acute sense of smell and seemingly were not bothered by his presence.
