I'm no model public servant. I've always tried to be honest and do good, whether in criminal justice or administration.

In my 50 years of government service, I’ve seen flawed government officials—but the absolute dishonesty of the MAGA movement is on a level I've not experienced. It is exhausting and dispiriting. A third of our nation knows and lies to us. The fact that these figures can rise to public trust without being repudiated by a third of our society makes me question the core fabric of our nation.

I hope that I live to see the reckoning. Fuck them with my deepest animosity. I will never forgive many of my fellow countrymen. I'll have to live with them, but I will cut them off in every possible way that I reasonably can.
