Also, Israel is very much not the winner in at least a couple senses. First, the GOP generation coming up behind Trump will blame them for the war to absolve Dear Leader (which is bullshit because Trump was perfectly capable of making a massive blunder without their advice, especially with Hegseth advocating for the war). Second, they did not get to test their theory about regime change in Iran because that would have involved help from the Kurds in the north but Erdogan got into Trump's ear and negated that option. Third, a more radical Iranian regime is not good for Israel and that is one of the net effects of the war.
