OK, so after reading this new round of clusterfuck, I have a question. If the theory the NCAA is basically saying “use the less accurate clock” bc some poverty programs don’t have Hawkeye….why not just say, “Use Hawkeye if available, but if not, here’s the order of operations…..”?(m)

This current “protocol” they’re citing already seems to have an “if/then” fallback position baked into it. How hard would it be to say, “the officials must use the first available clock starting with the following preferential sequence:”
1) Hawkeye Clock (or whatever technical specs they want to use if more than one vendor)
2) XYZ clock
3) WRS clock
4) etc
5) etc.
How hard could that be?
