The assertion is that the B1G replay officials didn’t check to see if there was a discrepancy with the time inside their replay system (synced) and NBC’s program feed (not synced).

If they would’ve checked and found a discrepancy, the “guidance” is to use the broadcast feed, aka what went out over the air, which was also out of sync to the actual scoreboard.

Essentially, they are saying the B1G took the wrong path to the correct outcome, when they should’ve taken the “right” path to the wrong result—a Michigan loss.
